Oh he thinks he's so funny......

Are there any other women out there who would like to receive flowers from their man...but don't? Yep, I can hear you all crying YES!! now.. Himself and I have been together for a while now.

When he met my sister for the first time, he bought her flowers....when it's mother's day his step-mum gets.... flowers....When we visit friends for a dinner party he says "shall we take flowers?" But when it comes to me - "Waste of money, they die, you don't really want them do you?" So I remain bloomless, well until I go to Tesco and just drop a bunch in the trolley to buy for myself.

So what's he done today, to really take the biscuit? I'm having a hard time at work at the moment and need cheering up, so you think he's trotted off to Interflora? Broken his rule of floweres die, they never last, it's a waste of money?

Or has he, true to form, gone for the joke...

I have just opened the door to the delivery guy. And found a single red rose.... in a presentation box, and I burst out laughing!!

Why you ask?

It's a sock! Well a pair of them obviously cos one would be silly. A pair of red socks carefully crafted into a stunning red rose. What a hoot!

For a man who never buys flowers, and who likes useful presents it's great, and continues our joke together too - which of course has had me laughing with him and hugging him and generally feeling much better.

And Himself adds...."They won't die like flowers either."

For the purpose of writing on here I had to look up where they are from, which is http://www.babyblooms.co.uk/, and they are £8.00 - and totally organic too.

What more could you ask for?

New mums or their friends should also take a look at the site too. Free delivery in July ensures the budget concious can buy a fabulous bouquet for baby along the same lines. From what I can see the baby bouquets begin at £24.00 and contain not only socks, but hats, bibs baby grows etc, all moulded into flower shapes and made into bouquets with silk flowers and leaves.

What a great idea! I'm now thinking through all my friends for anyone I think may announce pregnancy news soon.... (sadly none of them) cos the photos on the site just make you want to buy one!!

Oh lordy better get offline, feeling broody seeing all the little socks and things.... logging off now!!
