Well, I have seen it all now! Check out http://www.thedailyplate.com/ "Helping you eat smarter" says the cheesy Americanism of a strapline.
I stumbled across this waste of a space website, as I had shamefully eaten a pack of Dolly Mixtures, bad me, and was trying to find out their calorie content to add to my little book of eats at the end of today. I'm trying, and failing to lose weight....
So I look up Dolly Mixtures and it says they are 90 calories per 25g. Oh dear.....Oh well too late now I think.
But....wait, what's this? The website gives you alternatives, how helpful I think... read on...
"You could try these healthy alternatives to Dolly Mixtures to consume fewer calories" and they are listed below:
Tenderstem Broccoli
Seafood Sticks
Artichoke Hearts in water
and the list continues.
What idiot compiled this list? Yes, here I am sat at my desk at work, knowing I should not be eating Dolly Mixtures but somehow have one of those sweet urges you cannot deny....you know?
So which dipstick at thedailyplate.com thinks that I will stop eating my Dolly Mixtures and tuck into a tree of Broccoli???
It beggars belief what passes as a decent website these days!
